The NTX Titans White 14U AAA baseball team took 2nd Place in the USSSA Texas Global State Open 60/90 tournament. Pineywoods Baseball was the tournament host and the Titans battled against Majors level teams all day through bracket play.

Bracket play began with a battle between the NTX Titans versus #3 Seed T.H.A STIX out of Longview, TX. The Titans were able to capitalize on timely hitting and a great pitching performance from Aaron Ross. The Titans took home the 6-5 victory.

The semifinal game versus the TBA Rangers Blue from Denison, TX, was next on tap. The Titans took the win by a score of 9-3 with an onslaught of hits and a great pitching performance by Doyle Duplissey. Bobby Enriquez, the Titan Catcher lead the way at the plate by throwing out base runners and hitting .800 for the tournament.

The Championship game found the Titans facing their 3rd Majors level team of the day in the juggernaut from Texarkana coached by Mike Cobb. Southern Athletics jumped on the Titans in the bottom of the first and did not relinquish the lead. Congratulations to Southern Athletics on the Championship. We hope to see you again and hopefully put the shoe on the other foot.

Congrats on a great tournament weekend!

The NTX Titans White 14U get more hits, but not more runs in 5-4 loss to Solid 9 Navy

The NTX Titans White 14U won the hit battle 6-5 on Saturday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 5-4 in four innings to Solid nine Navy at Triple Creek #7.

Cole McMahan was solid at the plate for the NTX Titans White 14U. McMahan went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Hudson got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked six and surrendered six hits.

Omar Serna was charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The top of the second saw Solid nine Navy take an early lead, 1-0. Solid nine Navy got things going when Herrin singled. A stolen base then moved Herrin from first to second.

The NTX Titans White 14U scored one run of their own in the second. The NTX Titans White 14U scored on a solo home run by McMahan.

The game's last lead went to Solid nine Navy thanks to a third inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on an RBI single by Johnson.

Solid nine Navy tacked on another two runs in the fourth. A clutch passed ball scored Morgan to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Brooks' single, scoring Thompson.

The NTX Titans White 14U scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to cut their deficit to one. A two-run single by Sebastian Randle and an RBI single by Doyle Duplissey triggered the NTX Titans White 14U's comeback. Hudson ended the game by getting Benjamin James to strike out.

NTX Titans Team Prayer
The NTX Titans White 14U AAA baseball team kicked off their Spring Season of 2016 in the Forney Round Robin Tournament. The pre-season warm up tournament featured some of the best teams around the DFW Metroplex. Teams represented were the Texas Oilers, D-Bat Hinds, D-Bat North Dallas, Dallas Mustangs - Red, Dallas Mustangs-White, Dallas Mustangs - Blue, Dallas Tigers - Sanchez, NTX Clutch, NTX Titans - McMahan and NTX Titans - Purple. The teams competed throughout the whole weekend of February 20-21, 2016. The NTX Titans - White pause and say a pregame prayer for every boy, coach and opponent before each game. While playing the game of baseball is the focal point of the day, the time to pause to pray is a focal point of every Titan team.
